TRAINER

Name: Irene Winter
Gender: Female
Age: 26
Height: 5'9"
Personality: Determined, steadfast (almost anoyingly so) quite the adrenaline junky, will do things for the rush even if she knows it is a terrible idea. This leads her to be quite unpredictable in battle. She will often put herself, and occasionally her pokemon, into dangerous situations just to see if her plans will work out. Sometimes she is victorious, but sometimes she can fall flat on her face. This does not, however, mean she doesn't care for her pokemon, she is just... a bit of a daredevil.
Brief History: Irene started training herself to become a pro fighter when she was very young. She was determined to be the very best (like no one ever was) and would let nothing stand in her way. Her father, a farmer, had her work on his farm which helped to tone and condition her to work hard in everything she did.
Irene was, and still is, prone to taking spontaneous outings, and will dissapear for days at a time on various ventures for any reason she can invent.
One day while Free Soloing (unsecured rock climbing while alone... generally a terrible idea) she stumbled on one of her handholds and ended up falling quite a distance to a valley stream below. Though her arm was still attached at the bottom of the fall, it was shatered and basically useless, and both of her eyes were unable to open. She was unable to move for several days. During her imobility (shortly after the fall) she met Thrash, a poliwhirl at that time, who did his best to keep her hydrated and fed, as well as stop her from losing too much blood as best he could while she could not move. Without him she likely would have died - and she still thanks him for it to this day.
Her father and Skyshark managed to find her four or five days later and get her to medical help. Her arm had to be amputated and though she regained sight in her left eye her right experienced very brutal trauma and she has not been able to open it since.
She gave up on her fighting dreams and decided to train Bo, her first pokemon, and Thrash, who she insisted come with her. Her father eventually gave her Skyshark, mostly as a means of transportation but also to a degree to look after her. This backfired somewhat as Irene has a tendancy to jump off of Skyshark's back midflight, coerce her into flying too fast, and just generally continuing with her adrenaline loving ways.
Misc: Her arm and eye are not the only scars she accumulated from the fall, her back has some pretty significant scars. Not to mention the many she had prior to the fall, and ones she gathered afterward.
The only realy handicap that she feels from no longer having her arm is just generally feeling self concious about her attractiveness. She is left handed so writing and that sort of stuff was not affected. She's lived with it for five years now and is adapted.

Gender: Male
Nature: Jolly
Characteristic: Impetuous and Silly
Ability: Blaze

Misc: Bo was Irene's first pokemon, and has been with her through most of her life. Where he cares for Irene deeply, he hardly looks out for her as he is just as impetuous and daredevilish as she is. He loves riding on her back (despite being quite heavy for her to cary) and perching in high places.
He's not very emotional, and instead of being a comfort or a shoulder to lean on he will always attempt to make people smile, instead of offering advice or something more practical
(See Extras - Bo will often cling to Irene's back and pretend that his arm is hers, preforming mediocre tasks terribly (such as attempting to help her drink water but instead pouring it on her)

Nature: Quiet
Characteristic: Often Lost in Thought
Ability: Water Absorb

Misc: Thrash rarely speaks, and when he does it is never more than a few words at a time. He is a steady, reliable companion who never falters on the orders he is given. He is protective of the whole team to a degree, but whether or not they realize it is a completely diferent story.

Gender: Female
Nature: Careful
Characteristic: Capable of Taking Hits
Ability: Sturdy

Misc: Skyshark is the veteran of the team, having worked for Irene's father for many years. She takes her duty of protecting Irene very seriously, as it was the final order her former trainer gave her. She forces Irene to use a harness when flying on her, but this still doesn't stop Irene from doing rediculous things.
Shark is not particularly fond of the other team members, though she is more ok with Thrash than Bo, she doesn't get attached to anyone easily. In fact, she doesn't like Irene much but keeps an eye on her for Irene's father's sake.
